Hello Fellows Members,
I wanted to welcome all our existing and new members back as we begin the
2016 golfing season at Beaver Meadows.
The pro shop renovation has been completed and is now open for business. We
have a new look to our pro shop and have incorporated many of the suggestions
from last year’s survey to upgrade and enhance our product selection for our
membership. Remember folks we are a member-owned pro shop and Alex and his staff
look forward to serving all your golfing related needs.
Ash and his staff have been working on the course and with the mild winter, the
course is already in excellent shape for this time of the year. We encourage
everyone to play as the weather continues to improve.
We wanted everyone to know we will have new carts for the upcoming season. The
new carts will be upgraded with enhanced seating , new front consoles, improved
bag space and will also be equipped with bottles of sand/seed mixture when
needed for course maintenance. The new carts should arrive sometime mid to late
May .We have taken this action as our lease was set to expire and to enhance
member enjoyment while on the course.
You also will notice we have purchased our next load of sand to continue our
bunker renovation program. We are hoping to finish 2-3 bunkers with this load of
sand as weather permits.
Thanks to all the members who helped with the painting and cleaning of the pro
shop, snack bar and men’s and women’s locker room this winter. The members
worked very hard to make our facility enjoyable for all. Thank you for all your
efforts.
Duncan and his staff are looking forward to another great year for food and
beverage and encourage all members to attend the opening party for a fun filled
evening of food and beverage and to catch up with friends.
We have another excellent tournament schedule set up this year and the schedule
has been posted on the calendar on the member website.
This is the best golf course in CNY and our goal continues to be to grow
membership and enhance your enjoyment while on the course and in the clubhouse
at Beaver Meadows.
We would ask all members to help us in achieving these goals. How can you help?
Find a new member, buy guest passes and bring a friend to play. This is still
our best recruiting tool. Also, support your pro shop, play in member
tournaments, have a micro outing and support our restaurant. We are very excited
about the upcoming golfing season and look forward to seeing everyone.
